What are these hearing symptoms indicative of?

Someone at work dropped something resulting in a very loud crash. Ever since then (approx. two days), my hearing has gotten very very sensitive to certain noises. It's possible though that I just noticed it at that point and it had started earlier. I don't have a headache and really don't notice any kind of change outside of when dealing with certain tones (flushing toilets for example). My ears aren't really ringing any more than usual, but i do have that seashell sound coming and going. Is anyone familiar with these types of symptoms?
