Where should my family of 4 go on a warm winter getaway vacation?

I live in Costa Rica and I think that you can't go wrong there. I prefer the Guanacaste coast and accommodations there range from fancy houses to fancy hotels. I prefer the beach at Playa Conchal for snorkeling, the waters around Coco Island is world famous for diving, world class river fishing for tarpon can be had at Bara Colorado on the North Caribbean coast, The area near Panama called the Oso Peninsula is inexpensive and like stepping back 20 years in time. Southeast has Puerto Viejo and is very interesting with Caribbean food like jerk and a reggae feel to it and is very cheap.
