Usb connecting Targus Notebook Fan to laptop broke?

This wire connects the fan to the laptop. The end is the usb that connects to any port. The other end looks like a circular plug that connects to the fan. It recently broke and my fan won't turn on. I've heard you could replace the usb wire but I don't know what it is called. It's not a regular usb cord that I use with my phone. I need the name. Thanks
