Is it normal for my 14 yr old to constantly write peoples names?

My daughter for a few years now has had a habit of keeping several notebooks full of names that she has to write, she doesn't do it always to relieve stress, but says she just has to write them down. When asked if she could stop she replied no. Is this something to be concerned about?
