Am I too dumb to ever become a an Air Force Officer?
It seems like every since I started high school, my dream has been to become a military officer. It's weird how it came about. Since it is getting harder and harder to become an officer in the Air Force, I am starting to doubt myself A LOT. I hate it. I am going to the 11th grade when school starts back up. When I was in the 9th grade, my gpa was a 3.6. Then I transferred schools, now my gpa is a 3.4. Since my gpa has dropped, I will be transferring back to my previous school to get back focused. Since I want to ROTC in college, I want to be competitive for a ROTC scholarship. The way my grades are looking, I know I'm not. During my junior year, I plan to really get focused and challenge myself academically. I plan on taking honors english, honors chemistry, and honors history. I am already one grade level in front of the math I am suppose to be taking, so I'm not sure what math they are going to require me to take. Any other classes I should consider taking? My goal is to get a 4.0 gpa, but man that sounds so hard to do. I doubt that I can. When I graduate high school, I want to enroll at Howard University. This is a hard school to get into, so I need to get my grades up for that also. I have more than 20 hrs of community service so far, but I am only involved in one group at school. I know I am lacking the leadership component. Any tips on how I can better myself? I feel like my dream is slipping away, so I am starting to get stressed out.
